How the Recent Lawctopus Retreat was Among the Top 5 Life Experiences of 90% of Our Team
At Lawctopus and Lawctopus Law School, much of what we do is visible—courses, content, opportunities, and community.
But an equally important part of building an organisation happens behind the scenes: how the team thinks, reflects, communicates, and grows together.
Recently, we hosted a small, in-person retreat for our team.
The intention was simple: to meet, play, have fun, and know each other better. Over a few days, we engaged in discussions, sports, and shared experiences that went beyond work in the conventional sense.
We even watched the T20I final together and cheered as if the win depended on us!
At the end of the retreat, 90% of our team members shared that it was among the top 5 experiences of their life.
We don’t see this as a signal.
A signal that when people feel safe, engaged, and aligned with a larger purpose, the experience of working together changes in a meaningful way.
As we continue to grow, we believe that building a strong, reflective, and grounded team is essential to building a strong organisation.
This retreat was one step in that direction.
