Over the last 6 months, the LLS team has actively trained itself in the latest applications of AI across legal research, drafting, litigation support, and career development.

How We Teach AI at Lawctopus Law School

Every live course at LLS includes four structured AI learning elements, designed to help learners use AI confidently in real legal work.

1. LIVE AI Sessions with Leading Legal-Tech Organisations

We have tied up with two of India’s most credible AI-driven legal platforms:

  1. Indian Kanoon (Prism)
  2. Jurisphere

Each of these organisations shall conduct regular LIVE sessions (60–90 minutes) for LLS learners, typically once every month or two.

What learners gain:

  • Practical demonstrations of AI tools used in Indian legal work
  • Real use cases in research, drafting, litigation, and analysis
  • An introduction to how these tools fit into everyday legal practice
  • An understanding of where AI can and cannot be used

All sessions are conducted under the broad theme: Using AI in Real Legal Work.

2. 4-Hour Recorded Workshop: AI for Lawyers

All LLS learners receive access to a 4-hour recorded workshop (4 sessions) covering:

  • Using AI for Legal Research
  • Using AI for Argumentation and Mooting
  • Using AI for Legal & Contract Drafting
  • Technology & Ethics Behind AI in Law

These sessions are recorded by Himansh Wadhwa and Shruti Kaushik, Legal Product Developers at Indian Kanoon, ensuring technical depth and legal accuracy.

3. Complimentary Access to Indian Kanoon’s AI Tool (Prism)

Every learner at Lawctopus Law School receives 1-month complimentary access to Indian Kanoon’s AI tool, Prism.

This enables our learners to practice:

  • Conducting faster and smarter legal research
  • Drafting and refining legal documents and contracts using AI assistance
  • Exploring multiple real-world use cases of AI on India’s largest caselaw repository

4. AI Guidance from Faculty & Course Mentors

Beyond tools and workshops, AI is actively discussed inside select live classes. Our Faculty and Course Mentors regularly explain how AI can be used to:

  • Improve performance in corporate law & contract drafting
  • Strengthen legal research and writing
  • Support civil & criminal litigation
  • Enhance work in IPR and tech law
  • Build stronger CVs, portfolios, and career narratives

Our mentors are continuously upskilling themselves in AI, with a clear focus on how it enhances, not replaces, sound legal thinking and basic legal work.

5. Access to a 31-page eBook on AI Prompts for Lawyers and Law Students

In collaboration with Himansh Wadhwa, Legal Product Developer at Indian Kanoon and Prism, we have developed an exclusive eBook for all our learners, an AI Prompts Library, which is a curated, subject-wise collection of ready-to-use prompts built specifically for law students and young legal professionals.

The AI prompt library covers six key practice areas:

  • Contract Drafting
  • Legal Research & Mooting
  • Litigation
  • Corporate Law
  • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
  • Legal Careers

This eBook bridges the gap between knowing AI exists and actually knowing what to ask it, giving learners a practical head start in applying AI across their coursework, internships, and early careers.

In Summary: AI at LLS Means

Every Lawctopus Law School learner benefits from:

  • Regular LIVE AI sessions by Indian Kanoon & Jurisphere
  • A 4-hour structured workshop on AI for legal work

Yes, you can do the course if you can read and write English!

Our modules will take your from the basics to the advanced practical aspects of IPR and TMT Laws.

A lot of the basics are covered in our practical reading modules which learners are supposed to go through before the LIVE session.

Lawctopus Law School's courses are known for their warmth and rigour. You'll surely experience support throughout the course.

4. What if I miss a live class?

We encourage you to attend the live classes after going through the reading modules and recorded lectures, if any.

Just like the real charm of a live match/performance is watching it live, the real value of a live class is in attending it live!

A lot of new, practical things are covered; and of course, your questions are addressed too.

However, if you miss the live class, you can watch the recorded version of the live class which is uploaded for the specific batch only.

5. How will this course help me in my career?

In today’s digital-first world, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) laws are no longer niche, they're mainstream.

Every startup, content creator, tech company, and media house needs legal experts who understand how to protect innovation, handle data responsibly, and draft solid tech contracts.

Most full-service law firms have IPR and Technology Law teams, and many boutique law firms have practices exclusively tailored towards IPR and Technology Laws.

Doing a course in IPR and TMT laws gives you 3 clear career advantages:

High-demand skills: Learn how to handle copyrights, trademarks, patents, and data privacy; skills that are critical in both litigation and corporate practice.

Better job and internship prospects: Firms and startups actively look for lawyers with IPR/TMT knowledge, especially in fields like entertainment law, e-commerce, fintech, and AI.

Freelance and niche career options: You can independently draft licensing agreements, privacy policies, or even work with influencers and creators.

Whether you're looking to join a law firm, work in-house, or freelance; a practical knowledge of IPR and TMT Law give you a competitive edge in the modern legal landscape

6. Can we download the material?

Allowing for downloading of material puts our work at risk of copyright violation and related misuse.

Learners can easily access the material (reading modules, recorded lectures, recorded version of the live lectures, assignmens, etc.) from the Learning Management System (LMS).

Downloading of material is not allowed.

Access to the material via the LMS is easy and the students are free to take notes via online/offline mediums.
